Welcome to Green Investing
What would you think if I told you that large, institutional investors are actively televising how they’ll invest in the future?
What If I told you that you could get ahead of trillions of dollars in capital flows over the next few decades?
Well, you can, and major financial institutions aren’t being discrete about their plans…
The UNFCCC’s Climate Champions and Vivid Economics published research stating that to reach net zero, the world will need to invest $125T into climate-related investments by 2050.
Global intergovernmental body, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), approximates the world will need to invest $35T by 2030 for the energy transition to succeed.
BlackRock estimates that the world’s energy transition will require $4T of investment yearly by the mid-2030s.
No matter who you ask, everyone knows the world will need to spend trillions to reach its climate goals.
Even if we only achieve a fraction of what’s estimated, the upside is glaringly obvious.
And smart investors can see the writing on the wall…
Robeco’s Global Climate Investing Survey in May 2024 of 300 global institutional and wholesale investors representing a collective $29T in assets under management found:
62% of investors reported that climate change is a central or significant part of their investment policies.
48% of respondents reported that they’re currently allocating to funds that invest in climate solutions, with another 25% planning to do so over the next two years.
This is a trend that I sure as hell don’t want to miss out on.
Even if climate change as a narrative were to vanish overnight, many of these industries would still have great growth prospects.
Who Am I?
I’m a microcap investor who has been focused on following and investing in green industries for over three years.
In total, I’ve been investing in public stock markets for around six years now.
I’m a data analyst by trade, primarily in the automotive industry.
Before Green Investing, my investing journey began in the mining sector in 2019.
I was buying uranium, copper, helium, tin, and the list goes on. These were mostly natural resources that would benefit from the energy transition in some way.
I realized that while those industries can stand to benefit from a net zero world, at most times, they prove to make for horrible investments. Mining is an unforgiving sector that burns more cash than you could ever imagine.
In many respects, the popular investment sectors everyone knows are involved in the energy transition are similarly capital-destructive.
Electric vehicles, hydrogen production, renewable energies… there have been some successes, but there have also been plenty of failures.
While I still track what’s happening in these industries, it’s oftentimes to understand what other types of business models could indirectly benefit from their overall growth.
Tracking news in these sectors, and potential investment opportunities throughout the green investing space is exactly what this service is dedicated to:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How can I be sure this service is for me?
I strongly recommend reading the posts in the Process tab to understand my investment thought process. Also, check out my write-up and news coverage examples above to see if you find this content valuable. If you do, then you’ll get use out of a paid subscription.
When signing up, you will receive a 7-day free trial, which you can cancel at any time, as Substack explains here.
How consistent will the news coverage be?
As a solo creator, maintaining daily posting 100% of the year can be challenging. Illnesses or poor internet connections when traveling can disrupt my ability to work. If I take any breaks at all, they should be limited to a few weeks per year.
How many new investment ideas can I expect?
Most new investment ideas will be found in the Green Equity series or stock lists, which include hundreds of stocks in green sectors to research. On the other hand, my more in-depth stock write-ups will be relatively rare. As a concentrated, long-term investor, I don’t buy new stocks frequently. There’s no definable timeline for when I will invest in a new stock.
In my opinion, services that guarantee a certain number of ideas each month are likely to cut corners just to meet those quotas. I would rather present fewer, higher-quality ideas than set unrealistic deadlines.
Are you being paid to discuss certain stocks?
No. I only create full-length reports for stocks that I personally own, and I don’t take payment from any company I discuss. The only stocks I own will be outlined in my Portfolio and in Write-Ups. By offering a subscription model, my financial incentive is to offer you the best service possible and remain unbiased when examining companies.
How do I cancel my free trial?
If you decide that you aren’t liking the subscription service during your 7-day free trial, you can cancel at any time, as Substack explains here.
How can I request a refund?
After your 7-day free trial is over, if you still decide you’d like a refund, I’ll give you 100% of your money back, at any point, no questions asked. Just email me at greeninvestingbiz@gmail.com and let me know what email you used to subscribe. You can find Substack’s refund policy here.
